Slow Cooked Pork Rib Hotdogs

A twist on the classic Hot Dog... We cooked some ribs over night in the our Clifton at home water bath and they came out amazing!

Method

  1. Make the marinade by mixing the ketchup, olive oil, mixed spice, sea salt, garlic powder, cumin, chilli flakes, Worcestershire sauce, sherry vinegar and honey in a bowl, split the ribs into 2 parts and place each piece into 2 separate zip lock bags, divide the marinade between the 2. Push out as much air as possible and seal the bags. Place the marinated ribs into the Clifton at Home Water Bath at 65C for 15 hours.

  2. Pour the ribs and marinade/sauce into an oven tray and stick that in the oven for 20 minutes at 200C, the sauce will begin to caramelise and become deeper in flavour. In the meantime fry the frankfurter sausages in a large frying pan until golden brown and pop into the oven for a few minutes to finish

  3. Remove the ribs from the oven and strip the meat, dis-guard the bones and stir the stripped meat into the sauce. Split the buns and add the sausages and top with the sticky ribs, cover with cranble ketchup and french's mustard.
